Difficulties in Tamang Heritage Trek

Despite being one of the most accessible trekking destinations in Nepal, there are some difficulties that you need to consider during your adventure.

Drop Steep Hills

One of the most challenging aspects of the Tamang Heritage trek is the endless hills and valleys, which means you must ascend and descend the trail quite often. It can cause you to be tired fast and will hurt your legs and back. The biggest challenge is getting rid of the mental blockade and feeling the thrill of adventure.

Altitude Sickness

Another difficulty in trekking is being familiar with the altitude when which you reach the trek. You will be trekking through a height over 3100m, so you must be familiar with this height. Otherwise, the chances of headache, sickness, breathing difficulty, and nausea are common.

Long Walks

As in every trek walking a long distance is common. However, in Tamang Trek, it can be more than usual, as you may even have to walk for nine hours on some days. Hence, you must prepare for long walks, carry a walking stick, and rest frequently.

Most Asked Questions by Travellers

The beginning point of Tamang Heritage Trekking is SyapruBensi, and it ends when you reach Lamgtang village or KyanjinGompa. The trek ends when you return to SyapruBensi and then to Kathmandu for final departure.

The best season for Tamang Heritage Trek is in Spring and early autumn. The month in Spring lasts from March to May and then early autumn from September to November. In Nepal, it is recommended to trek when there is no rainfall or cold or very warm weather, so Autumn and Spring will be pretty fabulous to go any trekking.

Unlike any other trekking route, no place is restricted or prohibited from visiting. You have to apply for a permit card for any limited positions.

Generally, we recommend you carry a permit for jungle safari, national parks, and old Buddhist stupas and monasteries. However, you don’t need to worry about any place in this particular trek.
